Q.  Do you teach anywhere other than Little Rock?

A.  Yes!  We love to travel the state!  In the fall of 2016, we purchased Camp Real Estate School in Mountain Home and have a strong presence in north central Arkansas and southern Missouri.  We also teach in Texarkana, El Dorado, Hot Springs, Jonesboro, Camden, Sherwood, Cabot… the list goes on and on!  Check with your local board to see if we have something scheduled in your area and, if not, ask them to give us a call and we’ll see if we can set one up!

Q.  Will I pass the background check?

A. You may find more detailed information on background checks by clicking here: Back Ground Check Information

Q.  What are your plans for north central Arkansas now that you have purchased Camp Real Estate School?

A.  We plan to honor Wayne Camp’s legacy of offering the highest quality education available in the state!  We will offer Continuing Education as well as Pre License, Post License and Broker classes, if there is enough interest.  Check out our calendar for classes currently scheduled. If you don’t see what you are looking for, click on the Contact Us link to send us an email expressing interest in a particular course.

Q. What is your class schedule?

A. We offer Pre-License, Post License, and CE classes on a monthly basis. Please visit our   calendar for our upcoming classes.

Q. What if I miss a class?

A. Arkansas Real Estate Commission has set required instructional time for all of our courses. If an emergency arises, we will work to help you find a time in an upcoming class to make up the missed hours and content.

Q. How do I get a real estate license in the state of Arkansas?

A. Enroll in and complete the required 60-hour Pre-License course then take and pass the Real Estate Agent exam. Apply for a license at the AREC. See our How to Get Licensed page for more detailed information.

Q. Are there fees other than the course tuition?

A. At ARES, the course fee covers all the material needed for class. This includes the most current update of our textbook. There are, however, fees to other agencies required to complete the licensing process. A breakdown of fees may be seen by following this page.

Q. What is the dress code?

A. Instructional days are long and intense so dress for comfort. Because individual tolerances for classroom temperature vary considerably, we suggest layering to allow for personal adjustments.

Q. I’m a breastfeeding mother.  Will you be able to accommodate for me?

      A.  Absolutely.  We have a private room (not a bathroom) to comfortably meet your needs.

Q. Is my license reciprocal to other states?

A. Arkansas Real Estate Commission reciprocates with 16 other states. For more information and a list of these states,  see the AREC website.

Q. Do you have knowledgeable licensed instructors?

A. All instructors at ARES are licensed through the Arkansas Real Estate Commission and are experienced, practicing real estate brokers with a passion for sharing their knowledge with others. In some courses, guest instructors supplement the regular instruction. These speakers are recognized experts in their respective fields and are approved by the AREC.

Q. Do you offer a test review session?

A. Sample comprehensive tests are provided in the textbook. Additionally, students wishing to review course materials may audit any portion of a completed ARES course for up to a year at no charge.  We do offer for purchase an online exam prep course comprised of the major testing formats and questions found in real estate state exam testing. This includes the ten crucial topics found on all testing service exams as well as the majority of state exams. Additional highlights include (2) 100 question practice exams (one for salesperson and one for broker). All in all, our exam prep covers 1,000 questions on real estate content.

Q. Do you have a job placement service?

A. In order to practice real estate in the state of Arkansas, a licensee must work under a licensed broker (referred to as “hanging your license”). Various firms come into our classes from time to time to recruit. Participation in these recruiting presentations is optional and does not utilize mandatory class time. In addition, our instructors maintain great working relationships with local firms and can assist students in finding a good match for them.

Q.  Do you offer online classes?

A.  Yes! We offer both the 60 Hour Pre-License Course, 18 Hour Sales Agent Post License, Test prep and several CE courses online.
